Stained Glass Soldier Silhouette

Recognise and pay respect to the soldiers who fought bravely for our country by creating a beautiful stained glass artwork.

  • To get started, download the template above.
  • Step 1Use the template provided to cut out the shapes from black paper. Set aside.
  • Step 2Prepare your cellophane pieces. Cut small squares of yellow, green and blue cellophane. Set aside.
  • Step 3Trace the outer circle from the template onto the paper side of your book covering. Carefully cut out the circle.
  • Step 4Peel the paper backing from the book covering to reveal the adhesive surface.
  • Step 5Stick your black circle and soldier shape onto the book covering.
  • Step 6Decorate the surrounding adhesive area of the book covering with your cellophane pieces. Create a scene by placing the green pieces at the bottom to create grass and the blue and yellow pieces in the sky to create a sunrise/sunset.
  • Step 7Now that your stained glass silhouette is complete, hang it up in the window and see the beautiful image you have created shine through.
